Video:Rose Farm

A few weeks ago I spent a few mornings in the West Valley photographing a rose farm. Leyton Woolf grows millions of rose bushes every year that are then shipped out across the county to be sold in garden stores. Our timing to do the story was pretty good as all the fields were blooming. I ended up also interviewing a garden store owner to try and add some useful information about caring for roses. Before working on this story I had no idea that so many roses were grown in Arizona. When the farmer told me that 60% of the roses sold around the country as rose bushes come from Arizona I thought he might be exaggerating a little. I checked with the Arizona Department of Agriculture and they thought that number sounded right. Who knew?
